Why Own an Original Painting?

There’s nothing quite like owning an original. Every brushstroke, layer of color, texture, and decision is part of the actual surface I worked on in my studio. It is the one painting from which every print and reproduction begins.

My original Southwest paintings range from Sedona’s red rocks and Cathedral Rock to desert landscapes and other places that have inspired me. Each is one of a kind, signed by me, and represents a particular moment in my artistic journey.

A Painting with a Second Personality

Many of my newer originals are created with fluorescent acrylics. In normal daylight, they’re filled with the vivid color, patterned skies, and details that have become part of my evolving style.

Under black light, something different happens. Fluorescent colors and details begin to glow, revealing another personality within the painting.

A reproduction can capture the image beautifully, but the original contains the actual fluorescent layers, brushwork, texture, and surface I created by hand. That’s an experience unique to owning the original.

The Only One

An original isn’t one of an edition. There is only one.

For me, that’s part of what makes collecting original art special. You’re not simply choosing an image you love; you’re becoming the caretaker of the actual painting that came from the artist’s studio.

Each original is signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
