Inspiration from the Trail

“Sedona’s Sacred Heart and Soul” was captured while I was hiking with friends up the Schuerman Mountain Trail—a short, moderate, out-and-back hike that climbs to the basaltic lava of an extinct volcano. The trail is steep in a few spots but only 0.3 miles to the summit. From the top, I photographed breathtaking late-afternoon views of Cathedral Rock and Bell Rock glowing in warm light. Being an emerging artist, I always try to paint from my own photos—or from friends who capture exceptional shots that resonate with Sedona’s spirit. Those shared moments outdoors fuel my creativity and help me translate authentic energy onto the canvas.

Inspired by Meditation, Guided by Light

The creation of “Sedona’s Sacred Heart and Soul” was guided by intuition and quiet focus. I approached the canvas in a meditative state, allowing design and rhythm to develop naturally. The patterned sky—a signature of my fluorescent acrylic style—reflects the pulse of light I often feel when painting Sedona’s sacred land. Living here provides endless inspiration—fiery sunsets, peaceful mornings, and the moon’s glow over the red rocks—all reflected in this artwork’s luminous harmony.
