The Story Behind the Painting

I didn’t set out to paint Las Vegas.

Las Vegas skyline art takes on a new dimension in “Vegas: A Luminous Awakening,” capturing the electric spirit of the city through glowing color, movement, and atmosphere.

Most of my work has always been rooted in Sedona—the energy, the skies, and that quiet moment when something shifts just by being there. But when I was invited to create something for Desert Valley Gallery in Las Vegas. I began thinking about how different places carry their own kind of energy… and how people are drawn to them.

Sedona is a destination for reflection.
Las Vegas is a destination for experience.

And somewhere in that contrast, Las Vegas skyline art began to take shape.

The sky in this painting comes directly from my original “Always on Vacay.” That piece was inspired by years of traveling—places where people go to step away from everyday life and reconnect with something lighter, freer. Vegas, in its own way, is part of that same story.

It’s a place people go to celebrate, escape, and feel something different.

Bringing that sky into this setting of Las Vegas skyline art felt natural—like extending that sense of vacation into a completely different kind of landscape.

The Sphere became a natural focal point—not just for what it is, but for what it represents. Something immersive, modern, almost otherworldly. Grounding it into the skyline was important to me. I wanted it to feel like it truly belongs—part of the energy of the city, not separate from it.

This is my interpretation of Las Vegas skyline art—seen through light, color, and energy.

This piece became something unexpected.

Not Sedona.
Not Vegas.

But a connection between places people go… to feel something.

Las Vegas skyline art was intentionally created to live as a Limited Edition experience.

Each Limited Edition Hand-Embellished Giclée begins as a museum-quality giclée produced at the full size of the artwork. It is then returned to my studio, where I hand-embellish the surface using fluorescent acrylics—adding texture, depth, and luminous highlights.

If you didn’t know what you were looking at, you might think it was the original. Each piece carries the same presence, depth, and glowing energy, making every edition feel alive in its own way.

Offered in two signature sizes—30×60 and 32×48—each piece is created to fill a space with color, movement, and light, allowing the artwork to become part of the room itself.

Only 25 collectors will own this piece in its hand-embellished form.

Standard canvas gallery wraps are also available, offering a beautiful and accessible way to experience this colorful artwork.

Created using fluorescent acrylics, Las Vegas skyline art shifts throughout the day. In natural light, it presents as a vivid, high-chroma Las Vegas skyline. Under black light, the pigments come alive—enhancing depth, contrast, and energy.
