Panorama Landscapes
Go wide with sweeping panorama landscape paintings that capture glowing horizons—from desert canyons and Sedona red rocks to peaceful coastal shores—bringing luminous color, radiant skies, and immersive atmosphere into your space. These vivid mystical landscapes are designed to anchor larger walls with the glow and emotion of Southwest landscape art and coastal scenery.
Panoramic Landscape Paintings — A Wider View of the Southwest
Some landscapes simply seem to ask for a wider canvas. My panoramic landscape paintings are created to capture that sense of openness—the sweep of Sedona’s red rocks, expansive desert skies, distant mountains, and the changing light that makes the Southwest so dramatic.
The panoramic format allows my eye to travel across a scene rather than settle on a single focal point. It can create the feeling of looking through a wide window into the landscape, which is one reason I’ve returned to this format throughout my artistic journey.
Why I Love Painting Panoramas
A panorama gives me room to tell a bigger story. I can exaggerate the sky, stretch the horizon, introduce unexpected color, and allow different elements of a landscape to lead your eye from one side of the painting to the other.
Works such as Tequila Sunrise demonstrate how naturally the wide format suits the Southwest. Long shadows, desert vegetation, brilliant skies, and distant horizons all have room to breathe.
Enchantment takes that idea even further. Originally created as a six-foot-wide watercolor, it showed me early in my career just how powerful an expansive landscape could become when given enough room.
Panoramic Art for Long, Open Spaces
The proportions of panoramic paintings make them particularly well suited to spaces where a traditional rectangular painting can feel too compact. They can work beautifully above a sofa, console, credenza, fireplace, or along a long open wall.
Several of my panoramic images are available in different sizes, making it possible to choose proportions that complement the room while preserving the expansive feeling of the original composition.
