This isn’t a sales pitch.
It’s simply a collection of the nine paintings people have returned to again and again over the years.
These works weren’t chosen by me — they were chosen by collectors, visitors, and art lovers who paused, felt something, and stayed with them a little longer. Many are inspired by Sedona’s red rock landscapes and luminous desert skies.
Each piece sparked conversation, connection, or a quiet moment of recognition. Together, they’ve naturally become my Top Nine — a reflection of what has resonated most deeply, not what was promoted.
Top Nine Most Loved Sedona Art
Cathedral Moon
The painting that helped define my Cathedral Rock series — a luminous Sedona landscape anchored by calm, reverence, and a timeless full moon. 🌙✨
Cathedral Moon grew from a collector’s request to reinterpret Creekside Cathedral, my first oil painting after a six-year break. That earlier work was later licensed by Warner Bros., and its spirit lives on here. Cathedral Moon became the defining and most collected piece in my Cathedral Rock series, cherished for its quiet glow and sense of balance.
Cathedral Moon captures Sedona’s Cathedral Rock with a glowing full moon, blending mystical light with Southwest beauty.
Coyote’s Lunar Serenade
Under Sedona’s moonlit sky, the coyote listens as much as it calls. Hidden hearts and subtle symbols reveal themselves over time, inviting quiet discovery.
“Coyote’s Lunar Serenade” is a luminous celebration of night, stillness, and storytelling—alive with fluorescent glow and gentle mystery.
Sedona’s Red Rock Roadrunner (“Morgan”)
Inspired by the roundabout sculpture that became a beloved local landmark, this piece is vibrant, full of motion, and forever Sedona. 🏜️🪶
“Sedona’s Red Rock Roadrunner,” nicknamed “Morgan,” honors the spirit of Don Kennell and Lisa Adlers sculpture, reimagined in fluorescent acrylics. Beneath the color and glow is a sense of movement, humor, and resilience that locals and collectors instantly recognize.
Devil’s Bridge
Beneath Sedona’s glowing sky, the arch stretches forward—quiet, steady, unforgettable. 🌄
“Devil’s Bridge” captures this iconic formation in fluorescent acrylics, with hidden hearts, subtle depth, and a gentle day-to-night shift that lingers long after the hike ends.
Sedona’s Hypnotic Earthrise
Cosmic horizons and glowing skies—where Sedona meets the universe. 🌌
“Sedona’s Hypnotic Earthrise” reimagines the red rock landscape with Earth floating overhead, blending familiar ground with a quiet cosmic perspective that invites stillness and wonder.
Enchantment
Painted in the early 1990s, “Enchantment” captures Sedona’s light through soft washes and gentle glazes.
Quiet and timeless, it reflects the calm beauty that first drew me to the desert—and continues to bring a sense of stillness into the spaces it inhabits.
Pure Joy
A study in perspective—Cathedral Rock rising with awe and gratitude. Painted to glow. 💫
“Pure Joy” captures Sedona’s iconic formation with a lone hiker for scale, revealing hidden hearts and a quiet sense of connection. Luminous and uplifting, it shares a visual dialogue with its sister painting, Lover’s View, inspired by Sedona legend.
Pitiado
One of my earliest breakthroughs—salt, Saran Wrap, and watercolor magic. A bridge from New Jersey to the Southwest. 🎨
“Pitiado” is an experimental watercolor from the early 1990s, blending texture, spontaneity, and the spirit of Kokopelli. Though painted far from the desert, it carries the unmistakable voice of the Southwest and marked a turning point in my artistic journey.
Tequila Sunrise
A collector’s favorite—saguaros standing tall against a glowing desert dawn. 🌅🌵
“Tequila Sunrise” is inspired by the quiet beauty of the Sonoran Desert, capturing renewal and stillness as color rises with the light. Painted in high-chroma acrylics, the piece shifts gently from day to night, alive with warmth, spirit, and desert calm.
